Breastfeeding supplements contraception and infant growth in low-income areas of Mexico [tables]
1983
4 tables are presented which explore the relationship between breastfeeding supplements contraception and infant growth among 467 children ages 6 through 23 months in low income areas of Mexico. The 1st table gives the means standard deviations and descriptions of the 2 dependent variables (length of the child and arm circumference) the 10 factors (breastfeeding early liquid supplements early solid supplements and interactions of breastfeeding and contraception breastfeeding and liquids breastfeeding and solids contraception and liquids contraception and solids liquids and solids and breastfeeding liquids and solids) 4 covariates and controls (age of the child in deviation form rural/urban residence modern medical attention and mothers education) and 3 selected interactions (age of the child breastfeeding and early solids; mothers education and early solids; and mothers education breastfeeding and early oral contraception.) The 2nd tbale shows the correlations among factors covariate and controls and specified 2 variable interactions. The 3rd table presents an analysis of covariance for the lenght of the child and the final table presents an analysis of covariance for arm circumference.
