Highway guardrail impact positioning and alarming system and method based on Internet of things technology

2010
The invention discloses highway guardrail impact positioning and alarming system and method based on the Internet of things technology. The system comprises impact detection modules, onsite terminals, a center terminal and a communication module, wherein the impact detection modules are used for monitoring a guardrail to confirm whether impact events happen; the onsite terminals are used for monitoring a plurality of impact detection modules, carrying out real-time polling on the impact detection modules in an area under administration, and sending polling information to the center terminal; the center terminal is used for monitoring all onsite terminals, processing information sent from the onsite terminals and alarming and positioning the impact event; and the commutation module is used for transmitting information among modules. When the impact detection modules detect that impact event happens, the onsite terminals send an information report to the center terminal in time, and the information report is processed by the center terminal; otherwise, the onsite terminals report that no situation exists to the center terminal at regular intervals. The highway guardrail impact positioning and alarming system can quickly and accurately position accident sites, and publish the event site information to a traffic monitoring center to alarm, and quicken accident handling speed.
