A framework design of Smart trash cans management system

In Shanghai which is the first city to implement a garbage classification policy across all districts, a large number of classified trash cans are placed in the community, how to manage classified trash cans becomes a new issue. In this paper we designed a smart trash cans management system based on wireless sensor network. The framework design of the system refers to the traditional wireless sensor network structure, and the design of the middleware is newly added. We also designed a smart module that integrates various sensors to make ordinary trash cans become nodes in the sensor network for data collection and transmission. The system makes real-time detection of the trash cans and the intelligent management possible.
