Structural relaxation, crystallization and improvement of magnetic properties effect in Fe-X-Si-B (X=Cu, Zr, Al, V) alloys

2006
Abstract The influence of alloying additions Cu, Zr, V and Al on crystallization and optimization effect in Fe–Si–B base alloy was examined. It was shown that Cu and Al cause an increase of magnetic relaxation intensity in relation to the base alloy; Cu accelerate diffusion processes and separate the first and the second stages of crystallization. Zr and V atoms cause a slowing down of diffusion processes and a decrease of the magnetic relaxation intensity. Moreover, Zr atoms improve soft magnetic properties of the examined material (magnetic permeability, coercive field).
