Present situation investigation of hospital management in frontier minority areas in Yunnan Province and the analysis of training needs

Objective To understand the present situation and training needs of the hospital management in frontier minority areas in Yunnan Province, and provide a scientific basis for strengthening the staff teambuilding, adjusting the training content, improving the effectiveness of training. Methods The basic training courses of hospital management in frontier minority areas in Yunnan Province was held, post-training evaluation forms were analyzed. Results The education level and professional management specialization degree of hospital management were lower, part-time phenomenon is common. The training contents with high approval rates were the reform of public hospitals, hospital grade appraisal, hospital brand building, leadership and communication skills. Conclusions To promote hospital management team professionalization process in frontier minority areas of Yunnan Province, it’s necessary to improve hospital management personnel’s professional structure and education level, holding an scientific and standardized management training classes, in order to promote the sustainable development of hospital.
