Device for conveying fuel from a storage tank to an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle

2000
The invention relates to a device comprising a well-shaped reservoir (14), located in a storage tank (10). Said reservoir contains a delivery unit (30) comprising an electric drive motor (32) and at least one pump element (34), which are mounted in a common housing (36). The pump element (34) has a delivery member (46) that is located in a pump chamber (65) and driven in a rotational manner by the drive motor (32). The housing (36) of the delivery unit (30) is at least partially configured in one piece with the reservoir (14) and preferably has a base (40) and a peripheral wall (42) that are configured in one piece with said reservoir (14). The housing (36) for the delivery unit (30) can thus be manufactured together with the reservoir (14) in one production step.
