Synthesis and characterization of fluorinated crosslinkable oligoimides with linear and nonlinear optical properties : Molecular photonics and electronics

Novel crosslinkable fluorinated oligoimides with linear and non-linear optical (NLO) properties were synthesized and their chemical and optical properties (glass transition temperature, refractive index, birefringence, NLO characteristics) were investigated. The thermal stability of the NLO properties of the crosslinked fluorinated materials was analysed. The relaxation temperature of the second harmonic generation measured at 50% decay was higher than 145 °C.
