Sanayi Domatesi Üretiminde Toprak Tipi ve Çeşit Seçiminin Verim ve Meyve Kalite Özelliklerine Etkisi

2019
Objective: This study was carried out to determine the changes in yield and fruit quality of  Uno Rosso and H-5803 processing tomato varieties (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) grown in two different soil types. Material and Methods: The plant nutrition and cultural conditions of both processing tomato  varieties grown in sandy-loam and clay-loam soil types were the same throughout the experiments. The yield and some quality parameters of the tomato fruits harvested during the commercial  maturity were examined. Results: While the fruit yield of H-5803 tomato cultivar of sandy-loam soil type (9405.0 kg/da)  and tomato paste yield (1652.1 kg/da) were higher, the fruit yield of Uno Rosso variety in clayloam conditions (9075.0 kg/da) was found to be higher. The fruit weight of H-5803 tomato variety was found highest in both soil types, which were 96.10 g/fruit and 89.87 g/fruit for clay-loam and sandy-loam, respectively. Conclusion: There were no statistically significant effect of soil type on fruit firmness, fruit and pulp  color, soluble solid content, titratable acidity, EC values, lycopene, vitamin C and total phenolic content, for both varieties.
