Technology watch: NIPPI

A few issues back, Technology Watch drew attention to the role that suitably designed personal vehicles can play in expanding transportation opportunities for people using wheelchairs. In that article, the feature of pivotal technological interest was the drive-from-the-wheelchair concept which eliminates seat transfer and wheelchair stowing operations. This useful concept has now found an exciting new application in a three-wheeled motorbike called NIPPI
