Localization of assimilates in the stem of Acacia catechu Willd.

Seasonal fluctuations in the food reserves and other metabolites in the stem of Acacia catechu show that metabolites were high during dormant period of cambium, while these get depleted during active period, possibly to provide energy to the dividing cambium.
