Value stream maps for imaging services.

Managing imaging services delivered at different physical locations is a challenge. How do services vary by location and which process better serves the patient? Which location is providing the most cost efficient service and why? How can an organization consistently deliver best clinical practices across various locations? Mayo Clinic Radiology in Rochester, MN, faced these questions when evaluating its 19 locations providing CT services in a variety of settings such as emergency care, inpatient, and/or outpatient.
