Prevalence of stomach bot flies in a wild elephant from Kanchanaburi province.

Stomach bot flies were found in the stomach of a female Asian elephant age about twelve year old which die from electric shock from amphur Muang of Kanchanaburi province. The identified bot fly was Cobboldia elephantis (Diptera: Gasterophilidae). These bot flies were length 2-3 cm. and found in the lumen of the stomach of wild Asian elephant host.
