Influence of pretreatment method and conditions on cellulose-containing biomass susceptibility to hydrolysis was studied. It is shown that ionic liquid pretreatment increases cellulose-containing biomass susceptibility to hydrolysis. -Radiation pretreatment increases this susceptibility only in the absence of heat treatment
