E-Governance tends the person to lead with the situation of flourish or perish have been increasingly promoted as a key solution for comprehensive development, poverty eradication and the empowerment of historically disadvantaged groups. Government started initiatives to develop standards and implementation of E-Governance policies helped in strengthened India's position in the software driven ICT sector in the world. E-Governance attempt to offer services of Central Agencies to village dwellers at their door steps. The ICT has a potential to bring development and empowerment for a nation. Now a day Information & Communication Technology has become the most important currency for productivity, competitiveness, increased wealth and prosperity. Nations have placed greater priority on developing their human capital. The power of connectivity can transform the prevailing ailing system and can empower weaker section including the rural people with the power of information which can be converted into knowledge and further to wealth generation. It can reduce trade distortions, eliminate poverty and empower weaker section. This paper examines several projects that aim to provide IT -based services to rural populations for more inclusive democracy in India. These projects are distinguished by the goal of commercial sustainability which supports scalability and therefore more widespread benefits. The analysis highlights the common building blocks required for successful implementation.
