Robust Control Law Design for a Small Commercial Aircraft

2001
Abstract The modern multi-input multi-output (MIMO) control design techniques could significantly contribute to the reduction of the development time and cost of a fly-by-wire flight control system also for a small commercial aircraft. Moreover, they allow taking into account system robustness properties for stability and performance with respect to the unavoidable model uncertainties. In this paper the potential benefits of the μ analysis and synthesis theory to the flight control law design are evaluated by means of a practical benchmark problem.
