One-pot synthesized ultrathin MnO2 nanorods as advanced electrodes for high-performance supercapacitors

2016
Abstract Novel ultrathin MnO 2 nanorods are successfully prepared by a one-pot hydrothermal process, which endows with porous one-dimensional (1 D) nanostructures. As a result, the MnO 2 nanorods show good electrochemical performance as electrode materials for supercapacitors, including high specific capacitance of 820.8 F/g, long life over 5000 cycles, and good rate capability (562.5 F/g at 10 A/g). The fabrication strategy present here is facile, cost-effective, and can offer a way for energy storage device applications.
