Provided are a seamless (without a circuit/wire routing frame) organic light-emitting element of significant light-emission footprint, as well as a light source device using the same. This organic light-emitting element has a substrate, an upper electrode, a lower electrode, an organic layer provided between the upper electrode and the lower electrode, a connecting portion to a voltage-imparting circuit, an insulating layer which insulates the upper electrode and the connecting portion, a first leader wire which electrically connects the upper electrode and the connecting portion, and a second leader wire which electrically connects the lower electrode and the connecting portion.
