A Miniaturized High Isolation 5G Band Coupler Based on LTCC

2021
This paper proposes a miniaturized 5G band 20dB coupler based on low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) materials, which makes full use of the characteristics of LTCC that can be stacked in multiple layers, and realizes the overall miniaturization, more compact structure, and the coupling Load the short-circuit branch of the isolation section to improve the isolation to 42 dB. The four ports are placed in a “cross” shape, which is convenient for later connection with filters and power splitters to achieve more application scenarios. This structure is between 4.4 GHz and 5 GHz to achieve the insertion loss of 0.13 dB. The complete structure size is 3.5 mm × 2.3 mm × 0.96 mm. It works in the sub6 frequency band of 5G, which will have a lot of room for mobile communication.
