OSAM Component Model - A Key Concept for the Efficient Design of Future Telecommunication Systems

In this paper, guidelines for the efficient design of telecommunication services are presented. The driving force is the OSAM Component, a basic modelling concept for the consistent and effective analysis, design, use and management of services. Based on the OSAM Component Model, a service machine is built out of components integrating both mobile and fixed network services.
