Sestrinska skrb za bolesnike nakon transplantacije srca

2018
Transplantation or organ transplantation is a worldwide accepted and successful method of treating patients with irreversible organ function failure. Since the first heart transplantatin, on December 3rd 1967, Christian Barnard, to this date, has made great progress in medicine and even in the heart transplant itself. One of basic problems during the development of transplant medicine was the possibillity of rejection of the transplanted heart. When a patient with terminal stage of heart disease is declared a safe candidate for transplantation, then follow a detailed internistic and complete cardiac treatment. In this entire process of estimating and gathering data, waiting time, operations, intensive care, recovery and rehabilitation, a nurse has number of tasks. At all stages, a nurse needs to educate and mentally prepare a patient to be able to handle it better and be prepared for heart transplantation and life after transplantation.
