Power Maximization of a Variable Speed Wind Energy Conversion System Based on a Double Fed Induction Generator Connected to the Grid

2020
in this paper we presented a study of a variable speed wind energy conversion system based on a double fed induction generator connected to the grid. Due to the simplicity of implementation, the vector control is applied to control the active and reactive powers separately. In order to optimize the power delivered by the studied system, a control of the wind turbine is necessary. The tracking of the reference values of all the quantities (stator voltage, current rotor and mechanical speed) is ensured by classical proportional integral regulators.
