A method for increasing the reprodncibility of Chromatographic parameters in thin-layer chromatography

Abstract A technique is described for the simultaneous multiple spotting of thin-layer Chromatographic plates. When used in conjunction with a modified saturation chamber, it enables standardisation of important extra-molecular factors to be made. A mixture of three dyestuffs has been spotted individually and by the described technique under identical conditions. The results show that simultaneous multiple spotting gives the lesser variation in R f -values, the reproducibility being ±0.01 R f -unit.
