Evolução e perfil clínico-epidemiológico de pessoas com bronquiectasia atendidos no setor de fisioterapia ambulatorial Outcomes and clinical epidemiological profile of patients with bronchiectasis treated at the physiotherapy

The aims of this study were characterizing the clinical and epidemiological profile and analyzing the clinical course of patients with non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis. This is a prospective descriptive study with a quantitative approach, performed with 12 records of physiotherapy outpatient clinic of a public hospital in Teresina-PI. Data analysis was performed in 5.3 BioEstat program. Found a predominance of females (84.65%). The main etiologies were postinfection (50%) and idiopathic (33.4%). The predominant symptom found was productive cough (100%). The physical therapy techniques more used were thoracic-abdominal-rebalance (91.7%), therapeutic breathing patterns (83.3%), and vibrocompression (75%). It was concluded that the clinical and epidemiological profile is similar to that reported in the literature. About physiotherapeutic procedures, there was a positive clinical outcome.
