Method for producing fluorine-containing copolymer

A method for producing a copolymer containing a perhaloolefin and vinyl acetate using a novel emulsion polymerization method is provided. The method for producing the perhaloolefin-vinyl acetate copolymer is characterized in that a perhaloolefin with at least 2 carbons and vinyl acetate are subjected to emulsion polymerization in the presence of an emulsifier, or in the presence of a hydrocarbon emulsifier (excluding compound (1) represented by formula (1)).
