[Carcinoma of the uterine cervix. Clinical and statistical data from the period 1964-1983].

: Following an overview of the most recent literature on the topic, the paper discusses those cases of carcinoma of the neck of the uterus treated by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Ospedale S. Giacomo in Rome during the period 1964-1983. Cases are subdivided into two groups: those occurring between 1964-1973 and those dating from the period 1974-1983. Classification, diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic criteria are compared. In conclusion, the paper analyses results obtained with regard to the 5-year survival rate following initial surgery.
