1970년대 소년범죄소설 속 소년의 ‘악의(惡意)’
2016
Since 2000, juvenile crime novels have mentioned the collapse of the inner self of youths. These novels squarely faced the problem, suggesting that it was caused by modern society. However, in the 1970s, some juvenile crime novels already dealt with the inner evil will of youths and this trend indicated a new emerging flow of the juvenile inner side. In recognition thereof, this paper presents a study of [Kuhakuno Kyoso] and [Mashonen] by Morimura Seichi in the 1970s to analyze the evil intentions of the youth and the psychological tricks expressing such intent to harm. This study seeks to investigate youths’ inner conviction to harm and the pattern followed by these novels to express this phenomenon. On the other hand, although the 1970s novels note juveniles’ inner intent to harm, they also point out social problems therein such as family breakdown or social system collapse. As this indicates, the 70s novels attribute juvenile bad will to the ills of society, whereas novels from the 2000s and onwards tend to blame individuals. Therefore, investigating juvenile intent to harm in the 70s juvenile crime novels is significant in terms of discovering the beginning of novels dealing with the distorted inner side of youth and the characteristics thereof.
