Inhibitory Effect of Penthorum Chinese Pursh on Hepatitis B Virus in Vitro

Objective: To estimate the anti-HBV effect of Penthorum Chinese Pursh. Method : Using the traditional Chinese medicine Penthorum Chinese Pursh to treat 2215 cells in vitro. Result: When the water extracts concentration was 264ug/ml, the inhibitory rate to HBeAg was 54. 79%. When the direct water extracts concentration was 57ug/ml, the inhibitory rate to HBeAg was 54. 09%. Therapeutic Index (TI) 2. Conclusion] To some extent, Penthorum Chinese Pursh is effective in inhibiting HBV replication in vitro.
