A Study of Migration Culture in Lithuania

Results of empirical study including six separate groups of respondents (locals without intention to migrate, locals with intention to migrate, emigrants with intention to return, emigrants without intention to migrate, returnees without intention to leave and returnees with intention to migrate again) with a focus on their values and migration push factors are presented in this chapter. In total, 4140 Lithuanian emigrants and returnees and 1250 citizens of Lithuania took part in this survey. Results highlight the main migration push factors and differences in universal values among all explored groups. Based on the results, values describing migration culture are presented.
