Experimental method of boundary conditions identification using transfer matrix method and condensation

1998
We present in this paper a global approach to identify dynamic loads applied on a part of an operating structure. This method uses transfer matrix formalism. It allows to analyse the vibratory and the acoustic behaviour of a piping system having unknown boundary conditions. We solve an inverse problem where the unknown state vector at a part of the structure boundary is expressed in terms of some measured system response. Some results of forces and supports identification are presented to validate the developed method. A sensitivity analysis is performed. We examine the influence of model errors and measurements errors and propose a quality indicator.
