The invention relates to the correction of distortion of an electronic image intensifier tube comprising an entrance screen (4) for receiving said primary electromagnetic radiation and an output screen (5) emitting a radiation function of the radiation primary, the input screen (4) comprising a photocathode (11) emitting an electron beam in the tube towards the output screen (5), the emission of the electron beam being a function of the radiation primary. The input screen (4) further comprises a test pattern (20) formed of a plurality of points (21) distributed over the input screen (4), the pattern (20) having means for altering locally the electron beam without altering the primary radiation.
