Influence of Oxygen Therapy to the Pulmonary Function and Arterial Blood Gas of Stable COPD Patients

2010
Objective To investigate the mechanism of oxygen therapy to stable COPD. Methods 60 stable COPD patients were randomly divided into two groups: control group were given conventional therapy, observation group added absorption of oxygen by nasal catheter. After the treatment of 21 days, pulmonary function and arterial blood gas were compared between the two groups. Results FEV1/expected value, FEV1/FVC and PaO2 were upper, PaCO2 was lower, but the observation group was better than the control group (P 0.05). Conclusion Oxygen therapy to stable COPD has certain effect, which can significantly improve pulmonary function, arterial blood gas and living quality of patients.
