SLA Research in China: A Survey

This article provides a general survey of SLA research in China in the last two decades. It reviews the two-staged developments of the research, presents the status quo by highlighting the researcher cultivation and subject construction, the research methodology, achievements, contents as well as problems in China’s SLA research, and predicts the direction and prospects for future SLA research in China.
