Down-Regulation of Telomerase Activity in Human Leukamia Cell K562with Interferonα

2003
Objective:To investigate the downˉregulation of telomerase activity in human leukamia cell K562with interferonα.Methods:The human leukamia cell K562in culture was treated by interferonαˉ2b.By using telomerase repeat amplification protocol(TRAP)combined with ELISA,the telomerase activity in human leukamia cell K562before and after the treatment was detected.By using directed counting with blood cell numbered card, the effect of interferonαˉ2b on the proliferation of human leukamia cell K562was detected. Results:The interferonαˉ2b could obviously downˉregulate telomerase activity and inhibit the proliferation of human leukamia cell K562.Conclusion:The interferonαˉ2b can inhibit the telomerase activity in human leukamia cell K562,which maybe one of its antiˉcancer mechanisms.
