The Changing trend and intervention strategies of infant death cause in pingguo during the year 1991 to 2000

The analyses for the death of infants during 1991 to 2000 in pingguo,guangxi,province showed that the leading cause of infants death was pneumonia during 1991 to 1998,and that birth asphyxia was in the lead during 1999 to 2000.The analyses clarified it is necessary to decline specific mortality of birth asphyxia and pneumonia for declining the rate for the death of infants,and to improve technique of prevention .Monitoring treatment of premature and LBW,suggests establishing monitoring system of hereditary diseasing in county and increase the investment on public health care in ruralareas.
