INFLUÊNCIA DE EMBALAGENS EM JABUTICABAS 'SABARÁ' 1

2005
Jaboticaba fruits, in mature stage, were packaged into tereftalate polyethylene trays covered with stretching and sticking PVC plastic film, with thickness of 12mm, 16mm e 20mm. Jaboticabas 'sabara' fruits packaged into tereftalate polyethylene trays and not covered with plastic film were used as control. The trays were storage at 7±1oC with 95% to 98% RH, at 12±1oC with 62% to 80% RH and at environment condition (21oC-26.5oC with 44% to 63% RH). The quality of jaboticaba fruits was determined trough of weigh loss, respiration rate, fruit appearance and rottenness evolution. Trough the results obtained, maybe concluded that the fruits packaged in tereftalate polyethylene trays covered with PVC plastic film with thickness of 20mm showed a smallest weigh loss nad maintenance the appearance at the and of storage; the use of plastic films associated of storage at 7±1oC prolonged the self life of jaboticaba fruits by 5 days compared with shelf life of fruits storage at 12±1oC and at environment condition (21oC-26.5oC with 44% to 63% RH).
