An experimental study of retrovirus-mediated p53 gene therapy for human ovarian carcinoma in vitro and in vivo

After transducing retrovirus-mediated p53 gene to human ovarian carcinoma cell line SK-OV-3, gene expression and tumor inhibition were studied in vitro and in vivo. Retrovirus-mediated p53 could express in SK-OV-3 and inhibit tumor growth. The tumor cells were reduced 57%-88% (in vitro) and 40% (in vivo).
