The invention relates to a test machine for durability of a steel wire rope. The test machine comprises a machine body framework and a steel wire rope, wherein the bottom of the machine body framework is provided with a speed reducer which is connected with a turn table, the middle part of the machine body framework is provided with a base plate, the base plate is provided with a steel wire rope fixing seat, one end of the steel wire rope is fixed on the steel wire rope fixing seat on the base plate, the other end of the steel wire rope passes through a movable pulley rack, a movable pulley and a plurality of fixed pulleys and then is fixedly connected with the top of a selector lever, the selector lever penetrates a plurality of selector pieces which are adjusted by plug-pins, and the machine body framework is connected with a display. The test machine provided by the invention has the advantages of a simple structure, low cost, reasonable arrangement of the fixed pulleys, accurate test results, excellent adjustment of a to-be-tested steel wire rope since the movable pulley is normally adjusted through the movable pulley rack, etc.
