ESCRTs in Pflanzen: die Begleitung der Membranproteine zum Abbau

2020
The regulation of the abundance of plasma membrane proteins is crucial for the survival of plants in an ever-changing environment. Selective protein degradation of plasma membrane proteins occurs via ubiquitin-dependent and ESCRT-mediated endosomal transport. Endosomal sorting complexes required for transport (ESCRTs) are not only important for plant development, but also for autophagy and pathogen defence in plants. Here we discuss the function of ESCRTs in the regulation of endosomal transport and their physiological implication.
