Molecular Screening for Therapeutic Agents

This chapter will provide an introduction to molecular screening, its underlying concepts, work flows, and novel applications as a research tool and for target discovery. Molecular screening has changed from a very specialized tool that was primarily used in drug discovery to an indispensable tool for research. The integration of genomic and chemical screening data will lead to a better understanding of disease mechanisms and enable a more efficient drug discovery process.
