CUMULATIVE PARTICLE PRODUCTION IN FERMILAB EXPERIMENT E665

I estimate rates for cumulative particle production from C, Ca and Pb nuclei for conditions of Fermilab experiment E665 of p-A deep inelastic scattering. Estimates have been obtained on the basis of hadron-nuclei interactions experimental data. The possibility of also detecting backward produced charged particles by liquid scintillator neutron counters is discussed. This experiment, to be run in 1990, will be a valuable precursor to physics with the PEGASYS facility.
