Effects of establishing follow-up centers on self-management behavior of PCI patients

2018
Objective To investigate the effect of establishing follow-up centers on self-management behavior of patients with percutaneous coronary stent implantation (PCI) . Methods From January to July 2016, a total of 130 PCI patients from Cardiology Department of the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University were enrolled by purposive sampling method. According to the random number table, the patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 65 cases in each. Patients in the control group were treated with routine nursing intervention, and patients in the observation group were recruited in the follow-up center. The self-management behavior of the two groups was compared by the coronary artery disease self-management scale. Results The scores of daily life management and disease medical management were significantly higher in the observation group than those in the control group (P 0.05) . Conclusions The establishment of follow-up center can improve the daily life management behavior and disease medical management behavior of patients, but it needs further study to improve the emotional management behavior of patients. Key words: Percutaneous coronary stent implantation; Self-management behavior; Follow-up center
