Interpretation of the electron microscope pictures of amorphous polymers

1976
Abstract The literature results of irregular molecular packing in amorphous polymers forms the basis for an analytical investigation of the causes of the contrast found in electron photomicrographs of amorphous samples. The latter is explained on the basis of the phase contrast theroy on photographs with low contrast and an interpretation is based on model theories concerning the fibrillar aggregations present in the arcs of amorphous polymers.
