Using cable ties to connect thoracostomy tubes to drainage devices decreases frequency of unplanned disconnection

Objectives Thoracostomy tube (TT) connection to drainage device (DD) may be unintentionally disconnected, potentiating complications. Tape may strengthen this connection despite minimal data informing optimal practice. Our goal was to analyze the utility of cable ties for TT to DD connection.
