Post-polypectomy Bleeding

2020
Colonoscopic polypectomy is an effective method preventing colon and rectal cancer. While safe, it does carry the small risk of complications, one of which is post-polypectomy bleeding. The incidence of immediate post-polypectomy bleeding ranges from 0.3 to 6.1%, and delayed post-polypectomy bleeding ranges from 0.3 to 1.2%. In this chapter, we describe the most common and practical measures for controlling post-polypectomy hemorrhage.
