Impact of Jianpi Jiedu Method on Survival of Advanced Colorectal Cancer Patients

Objective: JPJD treatment was for stage IV colorectal cancer patients for observing the effect of JPJD method based on traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation treatment of advanced colorectal cancer patients’survival period.Methods: A retrospective analysis of 65 cases of hospitalized cases of Department of TCM Oncology,Putuo Hospital,Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,from January 1 2007 to December 31 2011 was carried on.The endpoint was the survival period.Results:(1) The patients’gender,age,histological type,pre-treatment KPS,Jianpi Jiedu Recipe intervention in the length of time were five factors which impacted the survival of patients were studied with univariate analysis.The results showed gender,age,pathological type had no significance on survival(P 0.05),KPS before treatment had statistical significant impact on survival.(2) JPJD method to participate in ≥5 months treatment group compared with JPJD method to participate in 5 months treatment,there was statistical difference(P 0.05).Conclusion:(1) The patients’gender,age and pathological type are non survival of independent factors.But KPS score before treatment is the favorable factor which influences survival of patients with advanced colorectal cancer.(2) JPJD method treatment can prolong survival of advanced colorectal cancer patients.
