Non-catalytic process for the preparation of aliphatic carboxylic acids by oxidation in at least two stages of aldehydes

The invention relates to a process for preparing aliphatic carboxylic acids from aldehydes by oxidation with oxygen or oxygen-containing gases. The new process is carried out in at least two stages at different temperatures in the absence of catalysts.
