Complex permittivity of the potato leaf during imposed drought stress

1997
Complex permittivity of the potato leaf is measured over a range of expected moisture conditions in the context of relating synthetic aperture radar scattering to crop moisture status. Measurements were performed on excised leaves to determine complex relative permittivity, and leaf water relations including gravimetric moisture, relative water content, osmotic potential, water potential, and turgor pressure. Relationships between plant water relations and complex permittivity are shown and do not conform to the dual-dispersion model of Ulaby and El-Rayes [1].
