Dynamical magnetic properties of the spin ice crystal Dy2Ti2O7

Abstract The measurements of AC susceptibility between 2 and 40 K from zero field to 4 T both along the (0 0 1) and (1 1 1) axis in single-crystal Dy 2 Ti 2 O 7 show that the spin freezing along the (1 1 1) axis has stronger frequency dependence and magnetic field dependence, and the starting freezing frequency of the single crystal is higher than that of the polycrystalline sample [2] .
