Culture of aerobic granular sludge in MBR with two kinds of sludge as seeding material.

Activated floccules sludge and anaerobic granular sludge were used as seeding material to culture aerobic granular sludge.Appearance,diameter,settlement ability,MLVSS reproduction rate of granular were analyzed.Results indicated that outer figure of both kinds of aerobic granular sludge was sphere or ellipse,and filar bacteria structured the frame,with coccus and bacillus stocking in,and with protozoan and metazoans adhered to the outside.Structure of aerobic granular sludge cultured by anaerobic granular sludge was more inerratic and compacted than that cultured by activated floccules sludge.Average diameters of aerobic granular sludge cultured by activated floccules sludge and anaerobic granular sludge were 1.3mm and 1.5mm respectively,which were very close,but smaller than that of anaerobic granular sludge.SVI of the both kinds of aerobic granule sludge was less than 75mL/g,and settlement velocity was 25～89m/h,showing better settlement ability.MLVSS reproduction rate of two kinds of seeding sludge appeared a negative value and then rose to positive gradually,at last maintained stable.
