Vers une seule communauté eucharistique : Eucharistie et communion des Eglises

The nature of the link between church fellowship and Eucharistic communion is at the heart of our understanding of the Church. The various ecclesiological traditions differ in their perception of the role of Eucharistic sharing in the pursuit of the visible unity of the Church. Although the question has been much debated over the years, it remains a very timely one. After outlining the program of the conference - New Testament and patristic approaches, ecclesiological perspectives and ecumenical advances, then a critical confrontation of three points of view - the present paper then gives an extensive account of the round table discussion which concluded the conference.
